Training for Mental Health Professionals
Caring Unlimited offers a comprehensive 12 Hour training for Mental Health Professionals.
The four three-hour modules include information that will prepare mental health professionals to work with people who have experienced and perpetrated domestic abuse and violence.

Module 2: Domestic Abuse: Addressing the Lasting Impact
Module 3: Domestic Abuse: Intervention Strategies
Module 4: Domestic Abuse: Trauma-Informed and Culturally Competent Responses

This curriculum was developed by the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence (MCEDV), along with partners in the mental health field to meet the 2020 DV training requirements for Psychologists, LCSWs, and LCPCs.
Caring Unlimited is presenting this curriculum online via the secure training platform, GoTo Training:
Attendees may attend all training sessions or select each session as needed to fulfill the requirement.

About the Trainers
Amy Genest, Education and Prevention Coordinator at Caring Unlimited, has been with the organization since 2000. During her time with Caring Unlimited, Amy has served in a number of different roles in the organization. These roles have given Amy a rich and diverse experience working with survivors of domestic violence. Amy provides community and school based presentations throughout York County, and coordinates educational programming for Caring Unlimited. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a BA in Psychology and Women's Studies. Amy's pronouns are she, her, and hers.
Anna Youngmann-Morrow, Community Educator at Caring Unlimited, has been with the organization in this role since 2016. Anna provides prevention education and training throughout York County, working with local colleges, businesses, and community partners to increase safety for individuals experiencing abuse and accountability for individuals perpetrating abuse. Anna has a background in anti-violence education and awareness, and holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Global Gender Studies from Siena College in New York. Anna's pronouns are she, her, and hers.
