Year in Review: Caring Unlimited's 2024 Annual Impact Report
“I am going to do everything I can to help you get the resources you need.” -Caring Unlimited Advocate
Over the past year, Caring Unlimited’s dedicated, skilled, and compassionate advocates worked hard to meet survivors’ complex emergency needs for safety and create opportunities for survivors and their children to thrive. The quote at the top of this page is from a message one of CU’s advocates sent to a Helpline caller. In one short sentence, this advocate describes every advocate’s approach to every call.
Last year, 1911 survivors accessed safety planning and critical resources through Caring Unlimited’s direct service programs. Together we answered over 2,000 Helpline calls and had 18,000 contacts with people using our services.
We expanded our advocacy programs, secured more housing options, strengthened law enforcement’s response to domestic violence, and connected with youth. We took exciting new steps towards our mission of ending domestic violence by piloting a Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Program (CDVIP), a court ordered educational program for people convicted of domestic abuse and violence, in York County.
These are just a few of the ways that Caring Unlimited is always working to meet community needs and increase meaningful access to services for everyone impacted by domestic violence.
